DOSSIER & LEAVE MODULE
Every file is stored with category and type (ID, contract, health report, etc.). Mandatory documents are flagged with is_mandatory; status tracks APPROVED / PENDING / REJECTED in real time.
Each document’s expiry_date is monitored automatically. Near-expiry documents trigger alerts; employees with missing mandatory files appear in the compliance list instantly.
Employee submits → department manager → HR / ADMIN approval is triggered in sequence. Every step is logged; requests close as PENDING / APPROVED / REJECTED / CANCELLED.
Leave days are calculated automatically by seniority tier (0–1, 1–5, 5–15, 15+ years). Carry-over is capped by max_carry_over_days; used / pending / remaining breakdown is always visible.
Annual (ANNUAL), sick (SICK), excused (EXCUSED), and maternity (MATERNITY) leave are tracked in separate balances. Each type routes through its own approval flow.
Every document action generates a DocumentActionLog entry: who did what, previous / new status, timestamp. Ready for data-protection and labor-inspection audits.
